Digital Workshops work with charities to help keep the cost of investing in technology as low as possible and keep on going costs down with our pay-as-you-go support. We have a proven track record of reducing the costs of telecommunications equipment, telephone lines, broadband, computer equipment and IT support .  We also work with other local companies to supply skills such as web site development and a social media presence.

On behalf of eligible charities,  we have specified and obtained technology products for charities  from the Charity Technology Trust and it's partners, such as Microsoft, Symantec and Cisco.   For example, we have worked with Eastbourne and District Mencap to develop their computer systems from a single computer to an Intranet linking their headquarters to their three residential sites and drop in centre,  now comprising five servers and some thirty-five laptops and desktops.  In addition, they have computer suite for use by their service users at their day activity centre.  Using charity donated software, we have received over 32,000 worth of software, including Windows Server operating systems, Exchange server mail systems, Windows 7 desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office, for 1500.  We have also supplied reconditioned and donated telecoms equipment to remove them from costly lease agreements and reduced their overall telecoms considerably, including calls from land line to mobiles.

As well as Server and Desktop operating system software, application software such as Microsoft Office and security software, the charity donation program also includes hardware products such as network switches, broadband routers, wireless equipment and hardware firewalls. Charities pay only an administration fee and can pay as little as 4% the cost of the retail products.

We are happy to advise you on how to apply for the scheme and project manage purchases.  We are happy to work with your current IT support - we can supply high level support for Windows Server Operating systems, Exchange Server and Sharepoint Server.  For smaller charities, who may not be eligible for the official scheme, we are often able to supply donated hardware and software from business customers who are upgrading.
